WELCOME TO ANGLICAN CARE
A Letter from the Ministry
Dear Member,
Welcome to the Anglican Care family. We are honored that you have chosen to join our community of believers who have committed to bearing one another’s burdens in accordance with the teachings of Scripture.
Anglican Care was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that when people of faith come together and voluntarily share their resources, they can accomplish far more together than anyone could alone. By becoming a Member, you have joined a community that cares for one another not out of obligation, but out of love and shared conviction.
This Member Handbook is your guide to understanding how our sharing ministry works. Inside, you will find information about your membership, how to submit medical needs for sharing, your responsibilities as a Member, and the many resources available to you. We encourage you to read it carefully and keep it handy for reference.
If you ever have questions, our team is here to help. Do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time. We are privileged to serve you and to walk alongside you and your family in this journey of faith and sharing.
In Christ,
The Anglican Care Team

1. ABOUT ANGLICAN CARE
Anglican Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization that facilitates the voluntary sharing of medical needs among Members who share common ethical and religious beliefs. We are a Health Care Sharing Ministry, not an insurance company. We do not issue policies, collect premiums, or guarantee payment of any medical expense.
Our mission is to provide a faith-based alternative to traditional health insurance by creating a community where Members support one another through voluntary monthly contributions and the sharing of medical needs. Every contribution goes directly toward helping fellow Members in their time of need.
Our Core Values:
- Faith: We are guided by biblical principles and the example of Christ in all we do.
- Community: We are a family of believers committed to bearing one another’s burdens.
- Integrity: We operate with transparency, honesty, and stewardship of every contribution.
- Compassion: We serve Members with care, dignity, and respect in every interaction.
2. OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
Members of Anglican Care affirm the following beliefs:
1. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and was raised from the dead.
3. The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
4. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
5. We are called to bear one another’s burdens in accordance with Galatians 6:2.
6. We are called to live a lifestyle consistent with biblical teachings.
3. HOW HEALTH CARE SHARING WORKS
Health care sharing is simple in concept but profound in practice. Members make voluntary monthly contributions to the Ministry. When a Member has a medical need, they submit it for sharing. If the need meets the eligibility criteria in our Sharing Guidelines, the Ministry coordinates the sharing of that need using the contributions of fellow Members.
Step 1: You Make Monthly Contributions — Each month, you contribute a voluntary amount based on your program level. This goes into the sharing pool.
Step 2: You Receive Medical Care — Visit any licensed provider. There is no restricted network. Negotiate cash-pay rates when possible.
Step 3: You Submit Your Need — Submit your medical bill within 90 days with the required documentation. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
Step 4: We Review & Share — We review your submission against the Sharing Guidelines and share eligible needs within 60 days.
Step 5: Your Need Is Shared — Eligible amounts are shared from the contributions of fellow Members, less your co-share.
| Important Notice: Anglican Care is not insurance. Sharing is voluntary and not guaranteed. Members are responsible for their own medical bills regardless of sharing decisions. |
4. YOUR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
Anglican Care offers four program levels to meet the needs of individuals and families at every stage of life. Each program has different co-share amounts and sharing limits. Your program level is listed on the inside cover of this handbook.

| Senior Care | Seniors 65+ | $1,000 | $100,000 |
Catastrophic Add-On available with any program: $2,500 co-share after primary, up to $1,000,000 per need.
5. MONTHLY CONTRIBUTIONS & PAYMENT
Your Monthly Contribution is the voluntary amount you contribute each month to participate in the sharing community. Contributions are due on the 1st of each month and are considered late after the 15th. A grace period extends to the end of the month.
Accepted payment methods:
- Automatic bank withdrawal (ACH) — recurring monthly, set up during enrollment
- Credit or debit card — recurring monthly
- Check by mail — must be received by the 1st of each month
If your Monthly Contribution is more than 60 days overdue, your membership may be subject to termination. Please contact us immediately if you experience financial hardship — we are here to work with you.
6. HOW TO SUBMIT A MEDICAL NEED
Submitting a medical need for sharing is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure your submission is processed as quickly as possible:
1. Receive medical care from any licensed provider. You are free to choose your own doctors, hospitals, and facilities.
2. Request an itemized bill from your provider. Ensure it includes diagnosis codes and a description of services rendered.
3. Complete a Medical Need Form (available at anglicancare.org or by request). Sign and date the form.
4. Submit your need within 90 days of the date of service. Include: the Medical Need Form, the itemized bill, and any Explanation of Benefits from other coverage.
5. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and make a determination within 60 days of receiving all documentation.
| Submit your medical needs via: • Online: anglicancare.org/member portal/submit-a-need • Email: needs@anglicancare.org • Mail: Anglican Care, Attn: Medical Need Processing, [Ministry Address] |
If your need is approved, sharing will be coordinated according to your program level and the Sharing Guidelines. If your need is denied, you will receive a written explanation and may appeal the decision. See the Sharing Guidelines for the full appeals process.
